In most of my recipes, I use plain, nonfat Greek yogurt as a mayo substitute. However, there are a few recipes that need mayo, as yogurt just doesn’t taste right.

I generally stay away from unhealthy, store bought ingredients, but I have a few favorite recipes I just couldn’t resist adding to the blog. So instead of omitting the recipe or recommending that readers use store bought mayo, I decided to make my own!

If you’re curious how to make homemade mayonnaise, it’s incredibly easy, and it’s a wonder that not everyone makes their own. All you need are 5 ingredients: egg yolks, lemon juice, dijon mustard, olive oil and coconut oil. That’s it!
