Hot Spiced Cranberry Mulled Wine Cider
Recipe type: Cocktail
  • 2 bags fresh cranberries
  • 1 bottle red wine of choice
  • 1 cup agave nectar or pure maple syrup
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • 20 cups water
  • Allspice and cinnamon, to taste
  • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
  1. Pour cranberries into a large pot and fill with 20 cups water.
  2. Cover pot and cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes until cranberries have popped and softened.
  3. Strain, discard cranberries, then pour the mix back into the saucepan and add orange juice, red wine, sweetener, allspice and cinnamon.
  4. Stir over low heat for an additional 5-10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
Makes 12 servings.
