Okay, so I know everyone’s always looking for the next best weight loss product, and while I’m a firm believer that there is no “miracle” drug to sustain a healthy diet, I have to say… mBerry tablets are the closest thing I’ve found. The tablets come in a pack of ten and are comprised of miracle fruit powder. Once the tablet dissolves on your tongue, it tricks your taste buds into thinking sour ingredients are actually sweet.
Have you ever read the ingredients to an item at the grocery store and thought “Wow, low calorie, low fat, low sugar, high protein… sounds great!” only to discover that it tasted absolutely disgusting? Yeah, me too. I’ve bought some seriously gross protein bars, kale chips, you name it.
Fortunately, there’s a solution to make these healthy (but bland) foods taste much better!
The first thing I did when I tried these for the first time was eat a package of Greek yogurt, because plain Greek yogurt has extremely low fat/low sugar and extremely high protein, and it’s one of the healthiest foods out there that unfortunately, tastes a bit bland. After the tablet dissolved, I tried a spoonful and WOW! It tasted exactly like sweetened yogurt. (The really yummy kind!) I’m thinking my new favorite healthy snack may have to be frozen Greek froyo!
Now that’s not to say it works with all foods. I’ve heard it works best with sour foods (for example, it makes lemons taste like sweetened lemonade.) But if you’re one of those people (like me) who really wishes they could enjoy the taste of many plain, healthy foods, now you can!
I’m excited to try it with a vodka soda and fresh squeezed lemon (like vodka lemonade!), and I’m thinking tofu may have an exciting result since it’s pretty flavorless on it’s own.
(And if you really want to get a kick out of this, look up the mBerry taste test video on YouTube!)
I have to say, the only downfall is the price. It’s $15 for a pack of 10 tablets (or $25 for 20), so unfortunately, if it’s something you want to use all the time, it’s going to cost you a pretty penny. But on a positive note, if you’re an Amazon Prime member, at least you’ll get free shipping 🙂
