Here’s a quick tutorial on how to make your own pico de gallo and guacamole at home. If you prefer salsa instead of pico de gallo, you can blend half of the pico de gallo ingredients in a blender and then mix with half of the chopped ingredients for a creamier texture.

I’m also not a fan of cilantro, so I used small pieces of spinach instead. And I always have spinach in my house, so it’s much easier 🙂

Ingredients:

For pico de gallo:

– 1 tomato, diced
– 2 tbsp white onion, diced
– 1 tbsp jalapeno, diced
– 1 tbsp cilantro or spinach, chopped
– Garlic powder, sea salt and pepper, to taste
– Dash of fresh lime juice (optional)

For guacamole:

– 2 avocados
– 1 tomato
– 2 tbsp white onion, diced
– 1 tbsp jalapeno, diced
– Garlic powder, sea salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:

For pico de gallo:

– Add diced tomato, onion, jalapeno, and cilantro or spinach to a bowl. Stir until combined.
– Season with garlic powder, sea salt and pepper, add a splash of lime juice if desired, and stir again.

For guacamole:

– In a medium sized bowl, mash avocados with a fork until desired consistency is reached. (You can also blend avocados in a blender or food processor until smooth.)
– Add diced tomatoes, onions and jalapenos to avocado mixture and stir well.
– Season with garlic powder, sea salt and pepper.
